Allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth, I am 18 years old, and in less than 48 hours I will be flying to Korea. I had the good fortune of being awarded a scholarship with a program called NSLI-Y to study abroad for an academic year in Korea. Today, I leave my family for NYC to meet eleven other students who are going on the same trip. It has been difficult saying goodbye to my best friends and family this past few week. I am grateful for all they have done for me during my preparation for this big journey. Honestly, it still hasn't hit me that I'm going to Korea. It probably won't until I step off the plane into Incheon International Airport.
